CD-ROM won't do a thing with CD Audio
I have a 486 with an SB16 and a MKEPanasonic CD-ROM attached
to it (Win 95 detects it as an MKEPanasonic, no I don't use
Windows any more). I can mount data CD's easily (/dev/sbpcd)
but no CD Audio player works. I don't mean that no sound
is there, I mean that the CD-ROM won't turn on! The busy
light doesn't do a thing. I have tried WorkBone (comes with
Slackware) and PlayCD 1.0 (very generic name) and nothing
works. WorkBone displays the control panel and terminates
while PlayCD just says Invalid on the CD status line. In
PlayCD I use the eject command and, it replys with No CD
but the CD tray does nothing.
Any sugestions?
