Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

cd formatting & 2.6 kernel

Hi,

I just upgraded to 2.6.0-test9. Everything seems okay until I go and format a cdrw.

I use k3b (lastest version) using scsi emulation. The cd formatting starts okay until around 5 - 210 minuytes and then hangs system.

I have to then reboot.

I have tried diffferent disks etc - still the same problem.

I am runing a smp kernel (Hyperthreading).

Any ideas? - is it a bug in test9? (first 2.6 kernel I have tried).

cheers

Robert
