Exclamation CD AUDIO BURNING PROBLEM Artec 48x12x48

I don't seem to have any problems burning data. When I burn wav or mp3 none of my other cd reading devices (computer drives, or cd players) other than the one I used to burn it recognizes more than 1 track. They all "play" track 1 with no sound. The timer just keeps ticking up like it's really playing. I've used GCombust, and Nautilous CD Burning, and K3B and none of them produce any desirable results!!! Will someone please try to help me? Thanks!!!

I wish I could be more helpful, but I can only say that I use the identical burner with Slackware 9.1 and K3b with no problems. Well, okay, the occasional coaster, but that's usually been due to cheap and nasty media.
About the only thing I can suggest is that you turn the write speed down a touch - I rarely burn at more than 24x for music, and usually a lot less than that for important data backups, iso images and the like. I'd experiment till you find a speed that works consistently for you.

Personally, I don't mind that it takes a little longer at a lower speed. I have the Great British Standby - I go make myself a cup of tea.

Cool burn @ lowest speed

I burn at the lowest speed possible, and it still comes up with errors. So, I'm totally confused. My friend tells me it's the Kernel. That I have to update the kernel for mandrake 9.2. So, I'm sooooo confused.
