Exclamation Cannot kill process with mkreiserfs

SO: SuSE 10 SP2
Hi!, im using the logical volume manager by yast. I made a logical volume and like this

Yast/System/LVM...

Format X Reiser
Logical volume name:homesoozlv
Mount Point /homesooz
OK

It freezes up and I closed my terminal, I try to deleate the partition (It was created but not mounted) I could do it, then I so the process
root 23070 1 0 10:25 ? 00:00:00 /sbin/mkreiserfs -f -f /dev/apps/homesoozlv

I tried to kill it but I cant, then I try to mounted and Yast told me that was a mtab~ file. I deleated, it had no information. Try to mount it again, but the device is busy.

I guess I can deleate de partition by killing the process 23070, but its imposible, what can I do??? HELP!

That process is being run by root. An ordinary user can only kill his own processes, not roots.
Code:
sudo kill 23070
It will ask you for the root password and should then kill that process.

I tried everything to kill it, but I read that not all processes can be killed so I ask if I could restart it. That way I could delete the logical volume and recreated.

Thanks
