Can't write fat 32 partition

I've mounted my windows 98 disk by editing the file fstab:

/dev/hda1 /mnt/Windows vfat rw,user,exec 0 0

But i can't write anything when i'm logged as a user; if i'm the root there is no problem. I've tried to modified the permissions but nothing happens.
Someone told me it's because the windows files don't have the same permissions as linux. It's that right???
Can i fix the problem???

Thanks.

Use this line instead:

/dev/hda1 /Windows vfat uid=500,gid=500,umask=000,exec,dev,suid,rw 1 0

Good luck!

I have the same problem, but my fstab entry is:

/dev/sda2 /mnt/Windows/OSS auto rw,user,exec 0 0

Would I have to change any of the values for uid, gid, & umask? Not sure what they do.
