Can't get Sound card working

I recently had to swap out my mobo (replaced it with identical unit) and since then I have not been able to get my Sound card to work. (I have managed to get DRI on my Ati though... never would before) Whenever I try to load ALSA, it gives me:
Quote:
alsactl: load_state:1236: No soundcards found...
Code:
lspci output:

        Memory at c5800000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=1M]

It is actually a CS4280

I would reinstall alsa, use this as your guide;
http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc...&module=cs46xx
you will need alsa-driver alsa-libs and alsa-utils
ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/drive...1.0.13.tar.bz2
ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/lib/a...1.0.13.tar.bz2
ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/utils...1.0.13.tar.bz2
I also like to install alsa-tools
ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/tools...1.0.13.tar.bz2
after you install those and modprobe the modules I run
alsaconf

Ok, The solution:

I uninstalled and reinstalled the 4 ALSA packages included with Slackware 11.0

alsa-utils-1.0.11-i486-2.tgz
alsa-driver-1.0.11_2.4.33.3-i486-1.tgz
alsa-lib-1.0.11-i486-1.tgz
alsa-oss-1.0.11-i486-1.tgz

Then I ran:
alsaconf

Then I rebooted and ran:

alsamixer

Then:

alsactl -store

Loaded KDE and everything is fine now.

Thank you for your help! :-)
