Ok, I plugged in my camera to the usb and a window pops up on debian etch;

Where is this album?

i'm probably not much help to you, but it looks like a gnome popup (is gnome your window manager?), so maybe it is gtkam that is registering your camera and offering to do the uploads. In that case, your album is probably a dot directory in your home dir. As I don't use either gtkam or gnome, I couldn't be more specific, but I'm sure it is easy to track down.
