BIOS Hard Drive Limitation (WinXP) Theoritical Question
(I'm using easy numbers for mathematical purposes.)
Suppose you have a laptop that has a BIOS limitation of 100GB for the hard drive size. And this laptop has a 100GB drive in it, but you want to put a 300GB drive in it and run a linux or Unix on 200GB of the drive, and Windows XP on the other 100GB. Obviously, Windows won't recognize anything more than 100GB. But if you first partition the drive with Linux or Unix, then install Windows on the 1st 100GB, then install the other OS on the other 200GB. Will that fly? Or will Windows complain that something is wrong with the drive size even though it's only on the 1st 100GB? Anyone ever tried this? Thanks.
