Best configuration with second hard drive

Hi,
I just installed a 160 gig hard drive on my desktop computer. I kept the existing 40 gig harddrive with the thought of loading Linux on it. Is this more hassle than it is worth. Since my wife also uses the desktop, I want to keep Windows as is instead of trying dual boot on the primary hard disk. The way I have the system configured is: 1st primary: 160 gig harddrive; 1st slave: CD-RW drive; second primary: DVD-RW drive; and second slave: 40 gig hard drive.

I would put the hard drive as the master on the secondary IDE ribbon. I think your configuration is fine though and shouldn't pose any problems in a dual boot situation.
