battery life is bad
i dual boot win xp and redhat 8.
wheni use windows, i get about 2 hours of battery life. but when i use linux, i get only 35 minutes of life. how do i make my battery last longer ? i have apm and acpi support, i have support for toshiba laptops, i have all that laptop stuff built into my kernel. i still dont get the amount of life i want. what tools or patches do i need to make my battery lasy at LEAST 1 hour and 20 minutes ?
i heard from someone in a chat room that i need to download some sort of patch for laptop support. he gave me the website and i downloaded. only problem was, im using kernel 2.4.18 and the patch was for the pre kernel 2.4.21
