ATI Radeon 9200SE with Xorg 6.8 on Gentoo [FIXED]

I have been trying to utilize the native DRI in Xorg 6.8 for my ATI Radeon 9200SE, running kernel 2.6.7. I have searched and found nothing that seems to help me.

Everytime I load X, it says: (WW) RADEON: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:1:0:0) found and fails to load AGP. I can boot but I cant get 3D acceleration going...

I compiled the necessary modules in my kernel. I uncommented DRI, GLX and the last part of the DRI settings with 0666 and still nothing.

Cant see my card so AGP fails.

Its really odd. I tried playing around with the BusID and changed it to PCI:1:0:1. It then says the same error as before but displays PCI:1:0:0 and fails to load saying no screen found. If I change it to PCI:1:0:0, it says the original warning and does indeed load like normal, that confused me...

I got it WORKING! It still spits out the error of not finding a device but 3D acceleration is WORKING...screw the warning, I can live with it...

Ahh, success is there a finer word in the english language, well maybe Linux. I have such a love hate relationship with her, but I love her again!

Lokheed - I agree with Blapto and Slovak's comments. I'm not sure if you are:

* posting replies and later coming back and removing your comments
-or-
* just posting "--"

Either way, if it's the first case, please don't do that, because it deprives future readers from potentially useful information, and if it's the second, please don't do that either because it doesn't really add anything to the discussion.

Please understand that I'm not trying to scold you, that's not my intent, but anyone reading this thread today would only be able to gather that you solved the problem, but unfortunately it's unclear what the solution actually was. If you could take a few moments to post back with the solution, it would be much appreciated by current LQ'ers with the same issue, plus future LQ'ers who may run into this issue at some point in the future. Thanks! -- J.W.
