Is there any one out there who has used the Asus 7700 pro geforce2 video card before? The past year I have been using this and the patches seem to work when I had windows but a few months back I started playing with Mandrake 8.1 and most open GL apps worked. A bit flackey at times but I wrote it up as a novice set up problem. Recently I fresh installed 8.2 and less apps work. I became grumpy. Now my parents computer went on the frits so I rebuilt there computer. New A-Bit MB Duran 1GHz 128 MRam, and it runs better than mine. It must be my hardware. Oh I secretly partioned the HD and dual booting from winME to Mandy82. And surprise surprise my dad loves Linux now. But one weekend I will have to show him how to use it so he is more comfortable with it. Oh there new geforce4 by PNY rocks. I am jealous. And I dont want to go over there for my mindless entertainment. Any coments....should I just suck it up and splurge on a new vid card or should I really look into this and attempt to rectifiy this. Suggestions Welcome ....................

Actually im trying to find out if there are any known hardware issues specifically with that card. Or maybe it was bad to begin with and ive just been blaming software this whole time. Dats all
