APC UPS Smart_UPS v/s 650

Hello folks,

I want to utilise an old APC Smart_UPS v/s 650 on my Slackware 8.0 Linux box. APC don't have any software for this as it is a discontinued item :-( Can anyone suggest some software which will work with it please ? Using a serial connection for monitoring.

TIA

Mike

Can't you use their Powerchute software?

There is a version of business edition for linux

http://www.apc.com/tools/download/

I would of thought that the software is backwards compatible with older equipment.

apcupsd or nut (Network UPS Tools) is probably what you want.
