anybody play with the Soyo KT 600 board?
Hello all! For the past year or so I've been playing around with the Soyo Dragon kt 333 board and it works, but it's gettin old and I'd like to replace it with the new Soyo kt 600 board. One of the problems I found with my current mobo is that ACPI dosn't work at all, using dmesg is says that my award BIOS is listed under some sort of "black list". I was wondering if anybody had played with this new kt 600 board and if its BIOS was also listed in that black list (or any other probs with the kt 600)?

not that it's the same, but i just got one of msi's KT600 boards. i haven't played with acpi settings, but i really only have two complaints:
onboard nic (broadcom 4410 for me) support is weak. it is recognized, but not really functional. there's been some write-ups on here on how to use it, but i just used a pci nic.
sound (cmedia 97xx??) support isn't so hot in alsa. cmedia offers an oss module, but i haven't tried it.

Hey thanx for the reply! I just ordered the board online... should be here in a few days. I'll post what I find once I get a chance to play with it Does anybody know if the 2.4.XX kernel supports the gigabit ethernet adapters currently out there? That's another quandry I'm in
