Another with Lexar jumpshot problems in Mandrake

I'm running Mandrake 10.0. I got a Lexar Jumpshot card reader as part of an auction for my new HP Smartphoto 315. Camera works great so I'm not stuck. But the card reader locks up Mandrake. I have it installed in my windows partition and it works fine. But I've read that some people with these have had similar problems. I'm running on the stock 2.6.3 kernel. But I've read that it's a problem with automount. So which is it? Kernel or automount. Automount works great for me, mounting my camera when it's plugged in and all, so I don't want to disable it. And The card reader is not a show stopper, but it'd be nice to have it working. So has anyone figured a work around yet?
