alsa + 2 sound cards

Hello, I have 2 sound cards, a ens1371 and an integrated intel 8x0. They work fine seperatly in linux, but i want to be able to use them together...

Alsa does not like the 2 cards idea, and it sometimes doesnt play, or sometimes to the integrated...

I wanted it so i could use the ens1371 mainly, but choose to use the intel8x0 if i wanted to...

I promarily use headset, but sometimes like speakers, and i have the headset mic, and my guitar (still looking for a linux guitar effects prog btw)...

Any way to have them both work properly in linux? any way to merge them for 4 channel sound? I use Kmix as a mixxer, and the newest stable alsa...

So, can i do this? And how if possible?

just disable the integrated sound in the BIOS.............and it won't bother you............

trying to load both modules in linux will only create IRQ conflicts.........and then neither will work.........so the answer to your query.....No you can't use both at the same time..........

well, when i did have it, they sorta worked... but i couldnt select which would be first, and i couldnt choose which to output to.

I ended up disabling integrated again... I hear it is possible, but i still have not managed...
