Agnula Demudi cd mounting.

hello all, im very new to this whole linux world and please to be upon it. problem is im a big NOOB. i currently have agnula demudi and not please with it so im ready to install debian.problem is that when i start up k3b and get everything ready to burn an iso cd there are no selectable devices.after asking around a bit, im guessing its having to do with me not mounting my cd burner or my cd rom drive. if i can please get a hand on this situation so that i can get into a more userbased linux, it would be great.thanks to all.

what does mount say?

usesually cdrom is: /dev/hdc or /dev/cdrom (or similar).

if k3b is not finding your cd/dvd drive then you need to tell it where it is at.

i think in k3b you do that in: settings, k3bsetup.

also look at configure in that menu.

ps. if worse comes to worse you'll need to download knoppix or something similar and mount it from the hard disk to use k3b.
