Add Display Resolutions to FC3 1280x720 NVIDIA 6600GT

I need to find out where to add resolution options to Xconfig. I have added "1280x720" to the Modes line under "screen". I have read through the posts on the subject that I could find, and I still cant find where to change this in Fedora Core 3.

I currently have several resolution options under display settings; 640x480 800x600 1024x768 1152x864 1280x960 1280x1024 1400x1050 1600x1200. My connected display is a Sanyo Z-3 projector at 1280x720 so I need to get this resolution out. In addition I would like to add the following resolutions to allow for this computer to be connected to other displays when necessary:

WVGA 854x480
WSVGA 1024x576
1/4 HD 960x540
WXGA 1280x720
HD 1920x1080

Most important is WXGA at 1280x720 so I will be happy with that.

Thanks for any help I can get

Patrick

P.S.
Here are some specifics you might want:

This post is really old but I just ran into the same problem. You have probably moved on by now, but...

The nvidia 6600gt does not support the mode 1280x720. So no 720i/p... yea i know I am having to run at 1920x1080, talk about small letters...
