ac97 sound card not detected in RED HAT ENTERPRISE

So far installation is concerned everything worked fine, but when i tried to look for ther sound card it is showing no sound card. i have a 915gv-gigabyte motherboard running 2.66GHz Intel Processer and has onboard sound(ac-97). Previously i have installed the same RED HAT in another system (845GV Gigabyte -onboard sound ac97-2.44GHz Intel)and sound card was detected. now i am hanging here as i can not decide whether to keep this linux installation or to free the space for windows. And Most IMPORTANT thing : I m a newbee so plz let me feel that a whole community is there to support me for my Linux problems

Open up a console, and then do the following:
Code:
dmesg
Then copy the text and paste it here. Then do
Code:
lsmod
and copy the text and paste it here. Alternatively you could save both outputs into text files like this:
Code:
dmesg > dmesg-output.txt
lsmod > lsmod-output.txt
And then paste the contents of those two files (created to your home directory, by default, or if you changed the directory using cd command, that directory) here.
