Smile 3Ddiag says I have no 3d capable graphic chipset found.

I'm trying to get 3d on a ati rage 128. I typed in 3ddiag and went through all the options and found two things":
1. It told me I needed to verify
'Load "dri"'
'Load "glx" under modules.

It also told me I had no 3d capable graphics chipet. Soooo . . .

1.I looked and it only has the glx listed. Does it mean I am to add the 'load dri' text to the file as well?

2.If I add this text to the file will it suddenly find a 3d graphics chipset? If not, where do I get such a beastie?

3. Of course I already tried to enter the text, but I wasn't able to, I'm guessin g because I was not root . . . . .How do I accomplish this with any ease?, and/or change permissions?

4. Is there something else that I am missing?

Thankyou for any help. It is much appreciated.

From the command line, run 'hwinfo --gfxcard'. If you have 3d capable grapics, this will tell you, and it will tell you what driver need to be inserted. Then, just insmod or modprobe the necessary drivers.
