3D Printer

Looking for a good 3D printer, preferably something open source unlikely have now or in the future restrictions and or phoning to a corporate server what's being printed. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Choose your size, features, budget, etc. Find somewhere to put it - those things stink like hell!
Remember you can rarely if ever print to 100% of size, so if you want a 200mm³ model, buy bigger than a 200mm³ printer!**

Choose what type you want and why. There's different ways of doing it. What materials? If you don't do research, you won't know what you want. You certainly didn't give us a clue.

There are cartesian printers (square bed, print only left-right, front-back, and up-down) and delta printers (round bed, all 3 motors work continuously to provide flat travel).
Lots of different sizes and prices, but one for reasonable home use (usually a kit) is around $300 to $500. You just have to look and see what is out there and decide what you want. Many are even available on amazon.com.

Mine, (which I have had for 4 years) with a 280mm round print bed (delta) is capable of printing models up to 500mm tall and uses almost any of the available materials if I choose. I recently priced it on amazon.com for $329
