Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Angry 3Com X-Jack PCMCIA (3CRWE62092A)

Hello,

I have Suse 9.0 installed on my Compaq EVO n600c notebook with a 3com x-jack pcmcia wireless NIC installed and everything is working fine except for the 3co wireless nic.

Although an iwconfig shows that the card is present, I cannot get it to work.

I have tried different versions of the poldhu drivers, wireless tools and pcmcia tools but nothing.

Is there anyone who was able to get it to run on either Suse 9 or Slackware 9?

ThanX in advance.
Greetings,
Serge.

Im using snapshot of Atmel driver from http://atmelwlandriver.sourceforge.net/ and it works so far except ifconfig doesn't show RX transfer, it is always 0.

Regards,

BlaYO
