Hello everyone...

Im kinda new to linux overall, anyway, I wonder if there is any 32gb limits per partition in linux, like the same as in windows on some older machines. Or it might be the machine... ? I have a PII 233mhz CPU, so my server is kinda old.

I really need to know before i order a new hdd

It depends I have a 40gb maxtor that when I put it into my older celeron 450 machine required a jumper to be set to limit it to the 32gb so it would boot but when I partitioned for linux I could use the entire 40. That's one thing despite the countless others that you can blame windows for, billg had nothing to do with that screw up it is the addressing limit of the BIOS itself. You can get programs that will partition the drive with some kind of overlay ?? that allows them to work but I have never used them with linux so cannot tell you much about them they usually either come with the hd or are available on the manufacturers web site you may want to do a little searching on this.
