256mb GFX card ATI or nVidia?


i am going to purchase a 256mb grafix card and i know nvidia has better drivers but is it possible to run an ati card like this with drivers under linux?

or is it just better to go with the nvidia?

which would i most benifit from?

Personally...

I'd go with NVidia myself - their drivers are far superior to ATI's and the installation is a doddle.
