1394 Video Device Mandriva PowerPack 09

I'm running mandriva PowerPack09 and I would like to connect my video camera to my 1394 port and have it recognized as a video device so i can used it with web based flash as a webcam, it worked fine on windows and was wondering if this was possible

I would start by plugging it in and seeing how the system identifies it..
