i have searched through these forums, and i have searched across
the net, to no avail. when i try to load a perl script in x-chat, i get
the following perl-related error.. my question is how do i fix this?
----------------------------
Apr 18 01:32:59 Errors loading file /home/neenee/.xchat2/sysinfo.pl:
Apr 18 01:32:59 Can't locate strict.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl .) at (eval 4) line 8.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at (eval 4) line 8.
i reckon i could fix it by adding the correct paths to @INC, but i
do not know what @INC is (guess is some sort of include file..),
let alone how to modify it.
thank you. that worked for that file. but it seems there are
many other files which needs symlinking; i did five now, but
it keeps asking for more files.. perhaps perl needs to be
setup or something so that all the files can be found (some-
thing less manual hopefully).
*update* removed x-chat, then installed it from source
instead of slackware package, and it now uses my specific
locations for the perl libraries.
