ack I didn't make a rescue floppy. Can I pretend to install linux to make one or is their an easier way.

There might be an option toboot into rescue mode from the redhat install cd, or you could google for rescue floppy, should be able to find something suitable. And as soon as you get it working make a rescue floppy ffs.

my penguin is back

this is me from xwindows linux running perfect again. Big thanks to everyone who helped me repair my system. It turned out I didn't have enough hard drive space so X quit running and I used the red hat rescue thing from the CDs to reinstall lilo. Again big thanks to everyone who helped.
