Won't have as much tomorrow, the 130 Pentium PC's in the garage are being collected by their new owner/reseller.

I guess I'm building a UNIX collection! At present, my farm is...

Athlon 1G Red Hat Workstation
Celly 466 RH/Slack Laptop
Sharp Zaurus SL5500
Sun Netra T1 440
SGI O2
Compaq deskpro 6000 Slacker
P2 350 RH Firewall

Expecting a Sun Ultra 2 shortly

I CAN boot the laptop to windoze, but only for online banking (avoid NatWest if you can!).

Might have to get an Alpha and an HP-UX machine as well!!!!

i just have regualr old x86 hardware all over the place and then the odd, useless quirky bits like the HP100, NewtonMP 120, Tandy Model 102.

To keep this thread on-topic I must point out that this list of hardware has not been tested with the workspot setup.

Yeah, but its not that it costs money but come on.. 10 bucks to use it. You can buy distro's for cheaper than that and have full access to your own system.

Don't get me wrong, I mean I think its a great idea.. but if they're wanting someone to get familiar with Linux, they're just asking for too much to start out with.

Maybe they should make it so you get a free trial period, 30 days to see how you like it.. then if you really want to keep using it, then get a membership to continue or something.

And I'm not cheap, I'm just poor... but I have bought distro's before.. to help support. But I wouldn't pay 10 bucks for that personally.
