So you're not citing any specific reasons. You just want to get people riled up with flamebait. Thanks.

Before it starts.......
I don't know what this guy has contributed to the linuxquestions.org community and I really don't care to find out, but if I was an admin, I'd delete his account, there is no place for posting windows praises in a linux General forum. There is only one possible motive right?

Vista Shmista. I wish nothing but Windows ME status on Vista. Even if it does r0xx0r I'm never touching it solely because of the crap they pulled with OpenGL. It's WinXP, OS X, and Redhat for me until Microsoft stops... picking on everybody (or something) with their new OSes.
PS: Don't forget to bother your favorite ATI/nVidia reps before the release version of Vista is out.

I was asking out of curiosity. What new feature make Vista so good. GUI, stability, new tool to work with, better security. I was not being sarcastic I am genuinely curious.

Ermm.. whatever you say futurist! Email me if you want to know the many reasons why I closed this thread instead of moving it to a more appropiate forum. If it were up to me, I'd move it to a Windows forum where these topics are more relevant.
