windows and grub

well I've got this problem, i had a dual boot system with w2k and ubuntu linux and it worked just fine, but then i had to reinstall w2k and the master boot record got overwritten with w2k standard, which by the way doesnt boot linux, so i was wondering is there a way to install the boot loader either grub or lilo (i don't care) from windows and preferably in a usb pen drive, because i don't want to wait for grub loader to wait if want to run w2k

thanks

You can do it using a live CD like knoppix. Boot the live cd, login as root then chroot to your ubuntu installation and reinstall grub.
