Why I use Linux--Chapter 38

Ironically, the story starts with a meltdown of my Linux system. As part of the recovery, I boot into Windows and attempt to scan something. It seems I had never installed the driver---OK,push some buttons and the system comes back saying: "There is no driver available for Windows 7 64-bit. You can try Vuescan from Hamrick."

I want to reply: "Gee guys, how is it that I can use my scanner in Linux by simply opening a program called simple-scan? I hear Windows touted as user-friendly, but in this case, Linux beats you hands-down."

So---who do I send this letter to?

The Great Byte Bucket in the Sky -- what make you think that Microsoft gives a hoot anyway?

My suggestion:

Log in to every windows users forum you can find and post your letter.

I'm sure Microsoft will hear about it.
