Every 4 years I make a clean install on the partition with the oldest install I always have 2,
making the transition to newer software easier.
tmux to have more than one terminal session in a single terminal emulator (very useful in a headless RaspBerry Pi or arch install), vim (I can use vi, but prefer vim), keychain for ssh key management, git for source management, progress to see the progress of cp, and dd, zsh and its syntax highlight plugin (helps me quickly spot typos), build-tools (what comes bundled in build-essential in debian based distros, or base-devel in arch based distros), ag (the silver searcher)
First things first is youtube-dl can't live without downloading my favorite music I tend to uninstall web Cam software and any extensions to live office as I Love Arch I prefer a simple system as I own a low end computer
I try Ubuntu the first time I got introduce to Linux a few years back and had been about4 years that I'm using Mint since I saw it, I switch, give it a try and I like it very much and I have been using Mint since It's Great, I Love It.
