where can i get a fast mirror that has slack 8.1


see the questions

and another question ftp.slackware.com under the iso disk images has 5 different iso's which one do i want?

Usually you'll want to find a mirror closest too you, but if there are several, go for the .edu or .gov one. Those seem to be faster than others.

Er, are you certain you're not looking at Slack-current, 8.1 isn't out yet. You can build a copy of 8.1 release candidate 3 right now with the instructions in the ISO folder, but that's not a whole ISO in there. That's going to be a couple days...
