Whats "Parity error during Data-In phase"??

Hi all,

I'm running a Redhat 6.2 and because of a severe power outage yesterday, the system has some filesystem error and refuses to boot up. After running fsck, it went back up again. However, I've gotten the error message "Parity error during Data-In phase" just now. Its been about 3hrs now and the message has not appeared again.

Can anyone tell me what the message means? Time for a change of HDD? This SCSI HDD is pretty old. I believe its about 4 years old.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!!!
