Question What the CRON is going on?!?!

Hey everybody. I just have a simple(?) question. For some reason, my cron.daily is running two times a day. It's driving me nuts. I've read the man pages and done some searching, but I can't figure it out.

Here is my /etc/crontab:

SHELL=/bin/bash
PATH=/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin
MAILTO=root
HOME=/

# run-parts
01 * * * * root run-parts /etc/cron.hourly
00 12 * * * root run-parts /etc/cron.daily
00 14 * * 0 root run-parts /etc/cron.weekly
00 16 1 * * root run-parts /etc/cron.monthly

Here is my /etc/anacrontab:

# /etc/anacrontab: configuration file for anacron

# See anacron(8) and anacrontab(5) for details.

SHELL=/bin/sh
PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin

1 5 cron.daily run-parts /etc/cron.daily
7 10 cron.weekly run-parts /etc/cron.weekly
30 15 cron.monthly run-parts /etc/cron.monthly

For example, my tripwire update reports are run twice (which lags my system and is just really annoying), but the times they are ran aren't that far apart!!!

Thanks...

Could it be possible that you have the daily script set to run in another user's crontab file? That's something that I've mistakenly done since I have different logins to my machine. Just a thought.
