Will u please tell me what is the full form of RPM? I am getting confused because it is mentioned as "Redhat Package Manager" , "Resource Package Manager" and "RPM Package Manager" at different books/articles. If it is "Redhat Package Manager" , then how the 'rpm' command works in different distributions other than redhat also?
redhat invented it, and it is officially called Redhat Package Manager" i assume other distros use it but would rather replace the R with something else, i.e. Resource...
