What file that has the $PATH variable?

In fedora core4 $PATH variable exclude "/sbin"
Becuase I'm lazy and I don't want to go to /sbin
for execute system command such as shutdown,adsl relate,..etc
When I type "echo $PATH" at the shell propmpt
the result is
/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/home/hus/bin

I want to know what file that has above value.

Thanks in advance.

PS.
I don't want to put "PATH=$PATH:/sbin" to any startup script
I want to know what file I should append.

Have a look at the hidden ~/.bash_profile

try .bashrc if .bash_profile just sources .bashrc.
