vsftpd & chown

ok I've done a lot of reading, went pretty far but not as far as perfection

I have enabled a vsftpd configuration per user, managed to get the permission I want on uploaded files but I don't see anything about chowning. I saw a parameter to chown anonymous user but not local users.
What I would like to do is "chown username:apache" so httpd can display what they have uploaded.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance =)

If your wanting to use chown in the ftp client, this isn't going to work unless you either login with a user that has access to chown files to other users/groups or do it from the command line.

Or just setup your ftp server to force all users to use a group ownership of the same group.. etc.

looking at the man page for vsftpd.conf - http://vsftpd.beasts.org/vsftpd_conf.html it looks like you can only use chown for anonymous uploads
