vnc over ssh works fine but then i have X problem...

i take connection to my friends server with ssh and after that ill take vnc connection to it so i can play with my desktop in his computer.. but there is problem.. it only shows white screen (it says it's connected to my friends computer and i know it's connected) but why the screen is white and there is no panels and nothing works.. if i click right mouse button it opens menu where is something like "run command, logout, lock screen, and something like that" but if i click run command and type some command (like kcontrol, xterm, konqueror, anything) it doesn't run... if i click logout it says something that could not logout properly and it does nothing...
i tried to take contact to my computer with vnc from my computer (same) and it shows my background and white console box and nothing else.. how i can make it to look like my normal dekstop.. (menus, and everything else..)

i hope that somebody understand me
