Cool viewing squid cache files!!

hi all...hope everyone's healthy and happy.....

does anyone know how to actually see the images that squid stored in cache? where exactly does it stores things like, jpgs and all that?? I opened up my cache dir in squid directory and found those 00000 files, but when i checked them out with vi, they seemed like a bunch of rubbish to me. i know i should know this, but being my silly self, as usual, i dont. I hope somebody out there can point me in the right direction...THANKS!!
