view help on c libraries


while using tubo c in windows i get a very good help screen. when i am using linux i could not locate help file. is there any interative help file to view the functions and variables in a header file.

It is header file dependent.
For libc, see info libc and also individual manpages of the functions.

Functions in glibc have manpages. For example, try "man fopen" at a terminal. Note that some function names are also shell commands: in this case you select the manpage you want: for example "man 3 printf" is the glibc function where "man printf" is a shell command.

emacs has integrated online help like Turbo C. Put the cursor over a function like malloc() then use C-h S
