Turning on process accounting accton:

I just upgraded my kernel from 2.4.2-2 to 2.4.18 (RH 7.1). Everythng went smoothly except for one thing I notice at boot up.

During the Interactive Startup, I notice one item that fails:

"Turning on process accounting accton: Function not implemented [FAILED]"

Could someone tell me what this could be. I have a feeling it's a kernel support I may have not turned on...but which?

As far as kernel support options are concerned, is it a good idea to bring up the menuconfig of my previous kernel side by side with the menuconfig of my new kernel to make sure that every support I have selected in my previous kernel will also be supported in the new kernel?

Thanks in advance...
