trying to upgrade php to 4.4.4 from 4.3.9, getting alot of missing stuff

I`m trying to do what the title says, but I`m getting alot of missing or old packages. I`m getting now :
Code:
configure: error: libjs not found. Please check config.log for more information.
I`m using the ./config.nice option.

Fixed that, did an upgrade of the package, and worked like a charm.
