tiny distro


hi folks

ive got an old 755 thinkpad and all its got is a floppy drive. I wanted to know if there was a distro i could install completely from floppies that would fit into a 1.3 gb hard drive.

5 years ago I would have said: go, try that. Now I'd say:
does it have a network card that you could maybe used
for some network based install of slackware? :}

Go to www.distrowatch.org and type 'floppy' into the first search field (for type of distribution).

Someone else on LQ had success with the single floppy Pocket Linux:

http://www.pocket-lnx.org/

but you need a network interface for that to be useful.
