themes, icons & win decorations in KDE

salut,

Can somebody explain me how can I install new themes, icons and win decorations in KDE without using some automatic configuration program like the Control Center, Yast for SUSE, etc.? installing just by editing some files...

I believe all your config files are in ~/.kde/share/config.
Just need to find out which one you want to change.

most kde themes are installed using just "./configure" , "make" and "make install" from an uncompressed tarball.

yes, in /usr/X11R6/lib/... , in /opt/kde3/share/... there are needed files, but there is a logig with them...
