Testing of POSTIX Filesystem

I would like to do some testing of a distributed file system with a POSTIX interface. It is currently a mount point on a Ubuntu 10.10 client. I am able to install iozone, but I am confused on how to run it so I don't get stats of the local filesystem ext4, but rather the file mounted at /mnt?

Do I copy the iozone files to the root of the filesystem or do I run the iozone from the mount point?

Your help is greatly appreciated.
