taskbar extends below screen area
I'm using the Xfce desktop environment and the taskbar height is often times too small, as it extends below the allowable screen area. It will occasionally resize itself when I turn the monitor off and on again but not always, and even when it does, it's still not quite right (sometimes it is). I can manually adjust the size of the panel but, in my current situation, that doesn't even work. Also, if I resize it and turn my monitor on at a later time, it will be way too big. It's very finniky. I've heard that this is what happens when the horizontal sync and vertical refresh rates are set too high or low but this doesn't make a lot of sense, and I'm certain they are set correctly in Xorg.conf.
I've been trying to come up with a solution for awhile now.
Any ideas?
Thanks
