Suse 9.0 Installation program freezes
The installation program freezes on “probing hardisk” either I do normal install or the manual one. The problem is with my Promise FastTrack TX2 raid controller. Without that controller the system will be installed. I did not have such problems with Suse 8.2.
Is there a problem with the FastTrack module? Did anyone encounter such a problem?
How do I go about fixing this problem?
Thank you for help.
Tom C.

I just tried installing Suse 9 and got the same error. Guess what? I have a TX2. I don't use the controller to boot from, but I do need it as my two large drives are attached to it.
Anyone got an answer????

I‘ve never had those problems with the SUSE 8.0 .
It seems that they screwed it up this time.
I’ve always treated SUSE Linux as the most easy and most polished distro, but not anymore!
