I've currently got 8.2 on my laptop, I'm a bit disappointed with it I guess. There are niggling little things that bother me, and I think really should not happen. I won't go into specifics. Anyhow, I've noticed that Suse 8.0 is out and pretty new, so I was wondering if anyone has installed it and used it a bit, and how they rate it? I'm after something that might be a bit faster, and might not have so many niggly things about it? Would someone recommend something other than what I've mentioned? I've had Mandrake 8.1 as well, it was OK, but some of the same issues..
Wow if you know anyone with SuSE 8.0 you must have connections! Assuming thats how you know its out, cos you should not have read it anywhere. It doesn't come out for 2 more days... so you may want to repost this then cos nobody is gonna see it. You probably even want to wait a few weeks to ask cos nobody is gonna have it and come straight here to answer questions. As far as better than mandrake, I really like SuSE, plan to get it as soon as it comes out. I have mandrake and still haven't gotten it to install on my pc right, so that kinda ruined my thought of it, but I know that SuSE 8.0 is going to be great.
It comes out in two days???
Well, in my bookstore, it is out for about a week now! I have ordered the students version so I can't say anything about it. May be it ships later to the states...
