sudo file

How do I add my user to the sudoers file? I am building a bash program to sutomatically compile programs that use the default compilation programs (./configure make, and make install). I want to add the line sudo make install.

The 'make install' can depend on what your compiling or installing of where it needs access to which is usually to copy/place and or compile in /usr/bin and such. Best thing for you to do is to give your user root access that is limited, like for instance, can do anything root can do except become root by doing a sudo su - root and or can't change passwords for other users or for root itself, etc.

man sudoers for details on how to format the sudoers file.
